Amy Walstien has spent her career at the intersection of law and politics as an attorney, government relations professional, policy advisor, and legislative staffer. Experienced in a wide range of legal and government matters, Amy is well-known for her subject-matter expertise and for being a strategic connector and communicator.
Walstien Law & Consulting, a legal and government relations practice, specializes in advising clients on matters including: legislative advocacy; business and fiscal issues; education and workforce development policy; project management; campaign finance and election law; political action committee formation and management; nonprofit development and grant-writing.
Well-versed in business community issues, Amy has served as the Senior Policy Director at Minnesota Business Partnership, representing the top 100 CEOs in Minnesota. Previously, Amy was Director of Education & Workforce Development Policy and Elections for the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. Amy has also held staff positions with the Minnesota Department of Education, Minnesota Department of Labor, and the Minnesota Senate.
Amy currently serves as the Vice-President of the Minnesota Governmental Relations Council, as a long-time leader of the Minnesota Excellence in Public Service Series, and as a gubernatorial-appointed member of the SERVEMinnesota (Americorps) Board of Directors.
